Cecilia Jevitt was an invited keynote speaker at the World Young Scientist Summit (WYSS) in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province from October 18-20, 2020!

This international event was jointly organized by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and the Zhejiang Provincial Government.

The first WYSS was successfully held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province in October 2019. Scientists from China and 102 countries, regions, and international organizations attended the summit. This year, WYSS saw young scientists from around the globe pool their wisdom with the aim of creating a better future.

The WYSS was paired with the International Nursing Forum, hosted by School of Nursing, Wenzhou Medical University from October 16-17 with the theme of “Innovation, Integration, Development.” Dr. Jevitt’s keynote, “INNOVATIONS IN MATERNITY CARE: re-establishing midwifery as a profession,” was written particularly for China because midwifery was re-established in China three years ago using a 4 year bachelor’s degree based on International Confederation of Midwives competencies.

Due to pandemic travel restrictions, Dr. Jevitt’s presentation was recorded.
