We are thrilled to announce that our Associate Professor of Teaching and undergrad program lead, Dr. Allison Campbell, has been honoured with a prestigious Doctoral Fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). This fellowship, amounting to $35,000 annually for three years, supports her groundbreaking doctoral studies.
Dr. Campbell began her Ph.D. journey in 2021 at the renowned Institute for Gender, Race, Sexuality, and Social Justice (GRSJ). Her research is set to delve into the critical topic of reproductive justice in prison settings, with a specific focus on perinatal experiences, maternal-infant relationships in British Columbia’s prisons designated for women, and prison-based reproductive health.
